Painfully underrated due to the lack of hype surrounding it's release, "Surviving The Times" is undeniably one of Nasty Nas's best songs. The song serves as an autobiography for one of the greatest MC's to ever grip a mic. The epic beat drop, the soulful sample, and the throwback, early 90's feel of this surprisingly recent track (2007, The Lost Tapes) give it the feel of an instant classic from the jump. Definitely a must listen for all you hip-hop heads.
